At Lisa-Marie Parker Studio, we believe great performers are shaped through thoughtful training, creative exploration, and a deep love of the craft.
Specialising in Music Theatre Voice, Acting and Performance training for singers, actors and performers at every stage of development.
Lisa-Marie Parker Studio is a boutique performing arts training studio based in Flemington, Melbourne.
Training is delivered through private voice lessons, group classes and workshops, with a focus on developing strong technical foundations, confidence, and expressive, story-driven performance skills in a supportive studio environment.
Led by Lisa-Marie Parker, the studio is supported by a small team of teachers who share a commitment to safe vocal technique, building strong technical foundations and creative independence.
Training for Every Stage of Development
Individual voice lessons form a core part of the studio, supporting both junior and adult performers.
The Junior Voice Program (8–18yrs) focuses on building safe vocal technique, musical literacy and performance confidence, while the Adult Voice Program supports aspiring, developing, pre-professional and professional singers in sustaining and extending their craft in line with their goals.
The studio also offers Group Acting and Music Theatre classes for Youth & Developing (6-15 years) & Pre-professional & Professional (16yrs to Adult) designed to develop performers to be confident, technically skilled and artistically independent.
Process Before Performance
At the centre of the studio is a clear teaching philosophy: process before performance.
Training is grounded in the belief that the voice is not separate from the person, but connected to body, thought and emotion. Students are taught how voice, text, intention and physical presence work together, and are supported to develop their own artistic sound through structured exploration, curiosity and repetition.
Rehearsal is treated as the primary site of learning — where skills are tested, refined and embodied — and performance is understood as the outcome of that process.
Across all programs, the goal is to develop performers who are technically secure, creatively independent and artistically intelligent.
Our Values
Lisa-Marie was compelled to open her own studio in 2019 to bring together thoughtful training, creative exploration and community for professional and pre-professional singers.
In 2021, following the disruption of COVID lockdowns and a growing recognition of the importance of creative connection for young people, the studio assembled a team of like-minded educators to include structured group and private training for younger performers through what became known as Kids Division.
In 2026, the studio enters a new chapter, bringing all programs — junior, developing and professional — under one umbrella: Lisa-Marie Parker Studio.
This does not signal a change in direction, but rather a more accurate expression of what has always existed: a connected studio built on consistent values of excellence, care and long-term artistic development at every stage of a performer’s journey.
